A fatal case of strongyloidiasis stercoralis superinfection in an immunocompromized patient.

Abstract

Strongyloides stercoralis is a disease of worldwide distribution particularly in the immunocompromized patients, especially who are receiving systemic steroids or immunosuppressant therapy, early diagnosis is the key for life safety. A fatal case of chronic strongyloidiasis is reported in an immunocompromized patient with complicated pulmonary infection.
