Abstract
Clinical delirium in the hospitalized geriatric patient is defined and described. Use of the Confusion Assessment Method (CAM) and Pain Assessment in Advanced Dementia (PAINAD) screening tools is discussed. Nursing strategies to identify and prevent delirium are explored.Entities:
