A new method for gaining entry into the scarred anterior cul-de-sac during transvaginal hysterectomy.

M S Hoffman1, M Jaeger.

Abstract

This report describes vaginal hysterectomy in nine patients who had a history of multiple prior cesarean sections. In seven of the nine patients, safe entry into the anterior cul-de-sac was facilitated by the use of a bent uterine sound.
