Steven E Katz1, Atif B D Collins, Sara B Peters.

Abstract

PURPOSE: Hidradenoma papilliferum (HP) is a cystic lesion of apocrine gland origin that occurs most commonly in the perineal region. Although there are scattered reports of HP involving the eyelid, to our knowledge, we present the first case of HP of the orbit.
METHODS: A 63 year-old female presented with progressive left upper eyelid fullness over an 18 month period.
RESULTS: The lesion was excised via transconjunctival anterior orbitotomy without incident.
CONCLUSIONS: The pathologic features of HP are presented.
