Abstract

Coronary artery embolism is an infrequent cause of acute myocardial infarction. In addition, native aortic valve thrombosis is a very rare condition. We report a case of native valve thrombosis causing acute ST-elevation myocardial infarction in healthy middle-aged man who has no established cardiovascular risk factor. We diagnosed native aortic valve thrombosis using various imaging techniques and confirmed our diagnosis histopathologically after surgical operation.
