Abstract
Knowledge regarding pre-term labour and low birth weight is directly related to infant mortality, which is sought to be brought down. This study was therefore conducted to assess the knowledge of 50 nursing personnel working in different wards of a selected hospital in J&K, with computer-assisted teaching programme as independent variable; the dependent variable being knowledge of nurses about pre-term labour and low birth weight. A 2-part questionnaire was developed to elicit the responses. The study established that computer-assisted programme was quite effective in improving the nurses' knowledge about pre-term labour and low birth weight that could be utilised in routine antenatal care.Entities:
