Abstract
Alcohol has been reported to be beneficial in reducing the risk and complications of cardiovascular disease (CVD). This benefit must be balanced with the known risks of alcohol. This review examines the evidence that there is a favorable effect on CVD and attempts to evaluate if the positive effects outweigh the potential pernicious sequellae.Entities:
