Abstract

UNLABELLED: The case of a 27-year-old Chinese patient with bilateral eyelid thickening and ptosis secondary to the rare condition of pachydermoperiostosis is presented. Surgical treatment was performed by horizontal tightening via a full-thickness wedge resection combined with levator shortening and advancement. Satisfactory aesthetic and functional results were achieved. The histopathology of eyelid tissue showed sebaceous gland hyperplasia and chronic inflammatory response.
