Abstract
This study examined arginine vasotocin (AVT) expression in the brains of dominant and subordinate male medaka Oryzias latipes after short- and long-term competition. High AVT expression in distinct preoptic regions was found in dominants and subordinates within minutes of encountering each other. During long-term competition, AVT expression remained high in dominants but not in subordinates.Entities:
