Abstract
The occurrence of cardiogenic pulmonary edema following alternating current electrical injury has not been reported. A patient developing severe pulmonary edema immediately following an electrical injury-induced episode of ventricular fibrillation is described. Evidence that the etiology of the pulmonary edema was cardiogenic is derived from both hemodynamic data and the calculation of the pulmonary edema fluid to serum colloid osmotic pressure ratio.Entities:
