Abstract
Substance abuse remains a major concern in pregnancy. The current review summarizes the best available literature on the subject. The findings of most studies are confounded by multiple drug use and environmental and social factors that by themselves are known to adversely affect the pregnancy outcomes of interest. Overall, however, substance abuse during pregnancy was associated with negative effects on birth weight and head circumference.Entities:
