Abstract
The purpose of the work was to study the activity of the first line antioxidant defence enzymes in postmitochondrial fraction of liver of pubertal rats during immobilization stress. During short-term immobilization the activity of catalase and glutathione peroxidase (GPx) decreased. Long-term immobilization was accompanied by activation of GPx and superoxide dismutase in the liver postmitochondrial fraction of late pubertal and adult animals, but not early pubertal rats.Entities:
