Carbogen in the management of a central retinal artery occlusion.

Susan B Fowler1.

Abstract

Carbogen therapy is a promising treatment aimed at improving retinal oxygenation and subsequent vision. Nurses play a key role in patient education, administration, emotional support, and monitoring of potential side effects and effectiveness of carbogen as patients hope to regain lost vision.
