Abstract
PURPOSE OF REVIEW: This review seeks to review the latest developments in breast cancer surgery. RECENT FINDINGS: The manuscript will cover the latest developments in breast conservation therapy such as oncoplastic surgery, partial, and accelerated breast irradiation as well as nipple and areola sparing mastectomies, breast reconstruction, and recent developments in axillary staging. SUMMARY: At the conclusion of this article the reader will have a comprehensive overview of the latest developments and principles of breast cancer surgical management.
