Abstract
Peripheral arterial disease (PAD) is serious but its significance has only recently been reflected in NICE guidance. A trust launched a PAD service led by nurses and podiatrists. The service is cost-effective and ensures that most patients receive treatment in the community, with referrals made to secondary care as appropriate. A care pathway standardises care.Entities:
