Abstract
In this study, we established design feasibility and evaluated the effects of cognitive behavior therapy provided to individuals with Parkinson's disease. A single-group interrupted time series design was used in this pilot study. Analyses were conducted on 22 participants, who provided data at pretest, post-test, and 3 month follow up. At each time point, participants completed a sleep diary and Parkinson's disease sleep scale. There was a significant difference between pretest and post-test (P < 0.01). The results suggests that cognitive behavior therapy facilitates improvement of sleep disorders in patients with Parkinson's disease, and provides important information necessary to design more definitive studies in the future.Entities:
