Abstract
Chemistry meets graphane: a Birch-type reaction using frozen water as a gentle proton source causes the exfoliation of graphite and formation of hydrogenated graphene with electronically decoupled π-nanodomains. This highly functionalized graphene displays pronounced fluorescence.Entities:
