Abstract
BACKGROUND: Smoking is known to be associated with oxidative stress; however, it has not been elucidated whether the oxidative response is influenced by the intensity of smoking exposure.Entities:

H2O2: peroxide hydrogen; TNF- α: tumor necrosis factor alpha; IL-6: interleukin 6. Monocyte production of H2O2 was stimulated by phorbol myristate acetate.
All of the multiple regression models with robust standard errors were adjusted for potential confounding variables (age, gender, forced expiratory volume in the first second and body mass index).
