Abstract
An elderly man was admitted to hospital with dull abdominal pain and marked weight loss. Ileocolic intussusception was shown on colonoscopy and later confirmed at laparotomy. The main feature was a caecal lipoma. A review of the subject and comparison with two other cases is included in the report. If the colonoscopy reveals a coil-spring polypoid mass, intussusception must be considered as a diagnosis in patients with abdominal pain.Entities:
