Tuberculosis of tonsil.

Abstract

A rare case of tuberculosis of tonsil in a 32 year old male patient, who presented with an ulcero granulomatus lesion of left tonsil which is tender, bled on touch. There was an associated left cervical lymphadenopathy. Routine laboratory investigations were with in normal limits. FNAC of cervical lymph node and Histopathological examination of tonsillar tissue shows tuberculosis. Chest X-ray revealed bilateral extensive pulmonary kochs. The patient was put on anli-tubercular therapy with which the patient responds very well.
