Abstract
Giant congenital nevi in 1% of cases are associated with anomalies of the central nervous system, which are characteristic of neurocutaneous melanosis. When neurocutaneous melanosis becomes symptomatic, it is associated with a poor prognosis. With recommended neonatal screening, asymptomatic neonatal cases are being discovered more frequently. On the basis of this observation, we consider various aspects of this association.Entities:
