[Lung cancer, a worrying epidemiological evolution].

Catherine Daniel1.

Abstract

As no screening test exists, most cases of lung cancer are diagnosed when the disease is already at a locally advanced or metastatic stage, which has a negative impact on the prognosis. The epidemiological evolution of this cancer is worrying, notably with regard to the explosion in the number of women affected.
