Abstract
Mixtures of an amphiphilic perylene bisimide derivative and tetramethoxysilane in the absence of solvents have been found to exhibit stable columnar liquid-crystalline phases which transform into macroscopically oriented nanoporous silica films as a result of simple mechanical shearing.Entities:
