Abstract
The mitochondrial genome of Takydromus wolteri (Squamata: Lacertidae) is a circular molecule of 18,236 bp in length, containing 13 protein-coding genes, 2 ribosomal RNAs, 22 transfer RNAs, and a control region. The A+T content of the overall base composition of H-strand is 62% (T: 30.7%, C: 24.5%, A: 31.3%, G: 13.5%). All of the 13 protein-coding genes begin with ATG as start codon. ND1, ATP8, ATP6, ND3, ND4L, ND5, and Cyt b genes are terminated with TAA as stop codon, COI ends with AGG, ND2 ends with TAG, ND6 ends with AGA, and the other four protein-coding genes end with an incomplete stop codon (a single stop nucleotide T). Three distinct repeat regions are found in 12S rRNA, 16S rRNA, and the control region.Entities:
