Abstract
Hepatitis C virus infection is the most common chronic bloodborne infection in the world. Injecting drug users are most at risk of infection in the UK and other industrialised countries but this group remains hard to reach. This article discusses the epidemiology, diagnosis and treatment of HCV, including new treatment strategies. It also explores and gives advice for general nurses.Entities:
