Adriana Carolina Caldera Díaz1, Barbara Alejandra Suarez Arfenoni, Richard C Semelka, Mauricio Castillo.

Abstract

PURPOSE: The purpose was to describe the magnetic resonance imaging appearance of the brain and spine in a patient.
METHOD: A patient with pancreatitis and neurologic findings is described.
RESULTS: Our patient had an inflammatory condition involving the pancreas and orbital muscles, a constellation of findings that should suggest systemic IgG-related disease (SIRD).
CONCLUSIONS: Patients with multiorgan inflammatory disease, especially those involving the pancreas and other organs, should be evaluated for possible SIRD.
