Abstract
Two down more to go: The asymmetric syntheses of (-)-pentazocine and (-)-eptazocine are presented. The highlights of the syntheses are the construction of the core skeleton through an aza-Prins cyclization and intramolecular Friedel-Crafts reaction.Entities:
