BACKGROUND: Short sleep duration has been reported to associate with increased insulin resistance. However, no studies have investigated whether such association exists in vegetarians. Variables eliminated during the stepwise regression process included sex, age, white blood cell count, total cholesterol, triglyceride, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, creatinine, blood urea nitrogen, education level, and energy expenditure.
