Abstract
Adverse reactions may occur during the Hematopoietic Progenitor Cells via Apheresis (HPC-A) -collection, although they are rare. They can be associated with physical, psychological, or environmental factors. The most common complications are hypocalcemia related to citrate toxicity, allergic reactions, and vasovagal reactions. Recognizing and treating the symptom early can reduce the severity of most of these reactions. Procedural steps are outlined in this chapter for the proper management of apheresis complications.Entities:
