Abstract
Alzheimer's disease is a devastating neurodegenerative disorder that currently affects millions of Americans. This means millions of Americans are providing hands-on care for their loved ones who are struggling with this illness. Caring for a loved one who has Alzheimer's disease is an extremely difficult and emotionally draining task. Ways in which caring for a loved one may affect the caregiver are discussed below, along with strategies for helping the caretaker avoid becoming emotionally and physically overwhelmed.Entities:
