Abstract
The masseter muscle is the primary bite force generator for chewing and swallowing. Masseter muscle strength was recorded on 89 subjects using electromyography. Subject groups were separated into 4-bicuspid extraction cases, collapsed occlusions, and controls. Data was averaged and analyzed. The control group displayed the greatest strength.Mesh:
