Figure 1(a) The fibrovascular stalk representing persistent fetal vasculature (PFV) stretches from the optic disc to the nasal periphery of lens. The aneurysms of cavernous hemangioma are visible on the optic disc, in the peripapillary area, base of the PFV stalk and on its apex (inset); note the spontaneously-settled retinal detachment nasally. (b) Fluorescein angiography shows characteristic “capping” of the dye in the aneurysms due to settling of erythrocytes; the anteriorly-located aneurysms showed a similar pattern but are out of focus
