Abstract
The existence of a mesenchymal stromal cell (MSC) population with the main property of physically supporting parenchymal tissues has long been recognized in virtually all organs. However, it was only recently that MSC have been identified as playing a novel role in modulating inflammation. It has been extensively documented that, under particular circumstances, MSC potently impair virtually all cells of the immune system, including antigen-presenting-cells.Entities:
