Abstract
A 34-year-old male came to the casualty ward because of a recent ankle sprain. Plain radiographs revealed a deformity in the distal tibiofibular joint (DTFJ). Despite conservative treatment, he had recurring ankle pain. Therefore, he was reevaluated with a computed tomography scan, which demonstrated an osteochondroma in the DTFJ with significant involvement of the talocrural joint. Excision of the osteochondroma and an arthrodesis of the DTFJ were performed. Eighteen months postoperative, the patient was without pain and able to participate in sports activity.Entities:
