Abstract
At Queen Charlotte's Maternity Hospital from 1980 to 1987, 195 women had a trial of scar in their second ongoing pregnancy, having been delivered previously by elective caesarean section. Overall 154 (79%) achieved a vaginal delivery. Patients who went into spontaneous labour had a significantly better chance of being delivered vaginally than those who were induced. A past history of early pregnancy loss had no influence on the outcome, nor was outcome compromised in the group of patients whose elective caesarean section had taken place before 32 weeks gestation.Entities:
