Abstract
Idiopathic hypereosinophilic syndrome (IHES) is a rare clinical disorder associated with blood and tissue infiltration by eosinophils. Cardiac involvement in patients with IHES can have varied presentations, and is often associated with significant morbidity and mortality. On the other hand, cardiac tamponade is a very rare presentation of IHES, and few anecdotal cases exist in literature. We report on IHES in a patient who presented with cardiac tamponade.Entities:
