Abstract
It has been possible to achieve cavity closure earlier than usual in 162 patients aged from 15 to 25 years with newly discovered pulmonary tuberculosis by combining an intensive chemotherapy with early and differential administration of levamisole, tuberculin, intraorganic electrophoresis and ultrasound. Immunologic examination of the patients upon their admission to a hospital and in the course of their treatment made it possible to exercise a differential approach to the administration of pathogenetic drugs. The use of the immunostimulators, like levamisole in the first months of treatment and tuberculin at the second stage of therapy, significantly enhances the efficacy of chemotherapy.Entities:
