Abstract
Mixed ductal-endocrine carcinomas of the pancreas are extremely rare and show morphologically separate ductal adenocarcinoma and endocrine components. Prognostically, they are more aggressive than pure endocrine neoplasms. These are true 'mixed' neoplasms and are distinct from ductal adenocarcinomas with scattered endocrine cells (in which the endocrine component is non-neoplastic). A mixed ductal endocrine carcinoma in a 73-year-old male is reported.Entities:
