Abstract
Schizophyllum commune, a basidiomycetous fungus, is a rare cause of mycotic disease in humans. We describe the first case of sino-orbital infection caused by S. commune in an immunocompetent woman who presented with maxillary sinusitis and inferior orbital tumor. Identification of the organism was confirmed by rRNA sequencing.Entities:
