Abstract
The core curriculum for an ophthalmology residency training program should include surgical procedures relevant to a comprehensive ophthalmologist. Considerations include outcomes (success and complications), technical skill required, applicability to a wide range of disease, and cost. Using these metrics, trabeculectomy should be favored over ExPRESS shunt surgery.Mesh：
