Abstract
Obesity-related hypertension is a clinical problem of major significance. The nature of the relationship between blood pressure and body weight has not been elucidated. Recent studies suggest that insulin (and/or insulin resistance) may be involved. An hypothesis is developed, based on the relationship between dietary intake and sympathetic activity, that attributes obesity-related hypertension to sympathetic stimulation.Entities:
