Abstract
As menstrual-related migraine (MRM) has been reported to be longer, more disabling, less responsive to acute therapy, and more prone to recurrence than nonmenstrual migraine attacks, effective preventive strategies are key to their management. Some combined hormonal contraceptives have been suggested as specific preventives for MRM. This article takes a closer look at some of these products, including concerns surrounding them, non-contraceptive benefits, and their potential role as preventive agents for MRM.Entities:
