Abstract
Neurogenic inflammation, which involves the release of neuropeptides from capsaicin-sensitive sensory nerves, may contribute to inflammatory diseases of the airways, joints, bladder, skin, eye and gut. Peter Barnes and colleagues review some of the therapeutic strategies that can be used to inhibit this neurogenic inflammation, with particular reference to the respiratory tract.Entities:
