Abstract
Diffuse alveolar haemorrhage (DAH) is an uncommon complication of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), and recurrences of DAH with remission periods are unusual. We describe a young woman with cachexia as the initial manifestation of SLE who presented posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES), intestinal vasculitis and four episodes of DAH even though she was receiving combined immune suppressive therapy. After treatment with rituximab (RTX) the patient has not presented further episodes of DAH.Entities:
