Abstract
In a prospective study above five months 8 classification-systems were examined to allow a grading of the severity of diseases in surgically intensive patients (n = 44). The aim was to check their practicability in clinical handling and their application as a parameter of course of critical ill patients. In spite of the relative small number of patients, in the result came the strong and weak points of scoring-systems for expression. For surgically intensive patients are recommended the APACHE-II index and the sepsis-score by Elebute and Stoner for cases with severe infections.Entities:
