Abstract
Surgical resection has played a major role in the treatment for colorectal liver metastases. The safety and efficacy of surgery for liver metastasis are obvious, although there are some differences between the western countries and Japan concerning the surgical indication, procedures, timing of chemotherapies in a perioperative period, and treatment of a primary disease. In future, long-term outcomes after surgical resection for colorectal liver metastases would be expected to be prolonged by combination of surgery and chemotherapies.Entities:
