Abstract
Transcatheter occlusion of high-flow arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) or arteriovenous fistulas may be complicated by migration of embolic materials intended to impede flow. Reducing antegrade flow during catheter embolization via balloon occlusion or inhibiting migration with anchoring devices may improve procedural safety in high-flow settings. We describe the use of an inferior vena cava filter as a scaffold to support complete vascular occlusion of a large renal AVM. Copyright ÂEntities:
