Sir, The publication on screening for diabetes in patients with tuberculosis (TB) is of interest.[1] There are some diagnostic issues to be addressed. Although Rawat et al., used the new cut-off for screening, there are still questionable points. The important concern is about the technique for blood glucose determination. Without data in the report, this can be doubtful. In patients with TB, the problem of hypoxia as well as the use of antipyretic drugs (especially acetaminophen) can be expected. These factors can interfere with blood glucose level determination if the test method is based on glucose oxidase technique.[23]
