Abstract
Periosteal reaction with spicule formation is very rare in metastatic bone disease, as only 75 cases are reported in the literature. Although prostatic cancer often metastasizes to the spine, spiculation here has not been reported. We present the first two cases of vertebral metastases from prostatic carcinoma with spicule formation giving rise to osseous spinal stenosis and neurological deficits, best demonstrated by CT.Entities:
