Indicates probable major depressive disorder.
Indicates probable generalised anxiety disorder.
GAD-7, general anxiety disorder 7 questionnaire; MCS, mental component summary; PCS, physical component summary; PHQ, patient health questionnaire; SF-12, medical outcomes survey short form 12.
Outcome measures at baseline and follow-up by intervention group

By analysis of covariance including baseline value.
SD of the residuals from the analysis of covariance.
The mean difference in scores between groups is influenced by one apparent outlier in the usual care arm with a drop of 12 points between baseline and outcome. Removing this case changes the adjusted difference to −1.8 (−4.3 to 0.7) with residual SD of 3.0.
GAD-7, general anxiety disorder 7 questionnaire; MCS, mental component summary; PCS, physical component summary; PHQ, patient health questionnaire; SF-12, medical outcomes survey short form 12.
